Habitat: Nests in tree holes, deserted cow, Magpie and raptor nester in various types of forests including coniferous and mixed forests in mountain taiga forests, forest steppe, patched woodlands in the steppe and valleys of lake and rivers. Downy chicks sit and rest in areas with dense leaves in the middle of the day.
