Located between two big powers; Russian Federation and People’s Republic of China, in Central Asia or in center of Eastern Hampshire. At 1,564,116 square kilometres, Mongolia is the nineteenth largest country by its territory. The highest point is at the elevation of 4324 m and the lowest point is at elevation of 560 m.
Water resources mostly depend on lake water which provides 83.7 percent of the resource while glaciers provides the 10.5 percent and rivers provides 5.8 percent of the water resource. Mongolia has about 300 therapeutic springs. The 60 percent of rivers run over boundaries and no rivers drain from abroad.
