Habitat: Inhabits woodlands, usually
conifers. They nest in tree holes, natural cavities and old nests of other tree
nesting birds in coniferous and mixed forests in mountain taiga, forest steppe
and valleys. Its flight is swift, slightly wavy and hunts from a perch or in flight.
