Habitat: Open habitats near river and lake
valleys, slightly wet meadows, and wheat fields in mountains, forest steppe,
mountain steppe plains, and valleys of lakes and rivers. Breeding pairs built
their own nest on the ground. The nest is shallow cup of grasses lined with
finer grasses and hairs. Occasionally small pebbles around nests in more open
sites.
