Food: Grasshoppers, crickets, spiders, earth worms, snails and plant matter.

Habitat: Breeding pairs build their nest in trees of deciduous, coniferous, and mixed forests in high mountain forests, mountain taiga forests, forest steppe, river valleys, patched woodlands in steppe, river valleys, patched woodlands in steppe and planted trees near settlements. Nests is placed at the top of larger trees in colonies formed in groups of adjacent trees and may be very close to each other.
