Habitat: Breeding pairs nest on the ground underneath banks and in crevices of rocks, on the roofs of waterside trees and behind waterfalls of clear, fast-flowing streams and rivers with rocky bottoms in mountains and rarely in valleys with permanent streams. Winters in open unfrozen water areas of Tuul River.
