Food: Worms, insects’ and their larvae, small
caterpillars, snails and seeds.
Habitat: Breeding habitats consists of dark
coniferous and mixed forests in taiga forests, forest steppe and dense river
valleys. Breeding pairs nest 1-6 m high in tree forks or in tall bushes. The
nest is a large cup of twigs, moss grasses and roots lined with finer grasses
and stems. On migration, it occurs in almost all habitats from taiga forest to
the Gobi desert.
