Habitat: On migration, it forms large flocks
consisting of up to 1,000 individuals and forages n the following breeding
habitats: large fresh water bodies, brackish and saline lakes, deltas of
rivers, large pool and ponds, channels, wheat fields and oases for foraging and
resting from taiga forest to the Gobi desert, and lake shores, river banks,
islands, and sand bars.
