Arrive to Mongolia. (International flights arrive to Mongolia mostly early in the morning or afternoon past 17:00 clock.) If you arrive in morning flight we will add observation program near city area. Stay at hotel near airport.

Check-out from hotel and depart to Umnugovi province with domestic flight. The flight lasts 1.5 hours. Before the lunch we will do observation around the center of province. Then we will drive to Yol valley, 50km away from the center of the province for birding. Drive to the nearest tourist camp to have lunch and stay overnight. (100km)

In the morning, we will do observation around Ulaanbaatar city. After lunch, we will depart to Choibalsan city, the center of eastern region of Mongolia, and arrive around 18:00 clock. Stay night at hotel. (30 km)

Early in the morning, we will drive to Bayan lake, passing by famous Menengiin tal and Baga khuree border line. Before the lunch we will do observation around Bayan lake and have open-air meal for lunch. Then we will drive to Buir lake, located on the border of Mongolia and China, which 90% is on Mongolian territory.  There are several associated small lakes at its east. The reeds along shoreline of Buir lake provide good nesting habitats for birds. Overnight stay in tourist camp. (290 км)

On this day after bird watching in Altan river, we will arrive to the center of Khalkgol soum. Visit to Yalalt museum and Yalalt monument about Mongolia-Japan battle. In the afternoon, we will reach to Tashgain 5 lake to camp and do observation. We will arrive at Bayan lake, passing by Baga khuree borderline and do observation from 3 spots. Overnight stay in tent. (150 km)

On the way back to Ulaanbaatar, we will arrive to Choibalsan city and stay in tourist camp at Kherlen river side. Bird watching around camp. (320 km)

Drive to Toson Khulstai specially protected area and do observation around Gun Tsengeleg lake. In the afternoon, we will arrive at Chinggis city and stay night at hotel. (330 km)

Drive to Gun galuutai specially protected area and stay at tourist camp. This site with beautiful landscape compromises small lakes, Kherlen river and steppe is the heaven to birds where we can see wetland birds.Overnight stay in tourist camp. (210 км)

Back to Ulaanbaatar city and do shopping in Gobi cashmere factory store and souvenir shop at State Department Store. Bird watching around Zaisangiin am and Songino and stay in tourist camp near airport. (170 km)

After having lunch in Dalanzadgad city, we will do observation Dalanbulag where is open water and three plantation. Stay in tourist camp to have a dinner and overnight. (100 км)

Drive to Khongor sand dune. Desert steppe small birds are very common in the bush lands along the small river on the edge of sand dune. Stay at tourist camp to have dinner and overnight. (200 km) 

Early in the morning we will drive to small lake situated in 60km south of Dalanzadgad city. There we will watch wetland birds congregating in small lake. 

Early in the morning we will drive to Dungenee and Lonkh valleys of Gobi Three Beauty Mountains to watch Altai snowcock. FYI, in order to watch Altai snowcock we must walk to quite high place early in the morning, maybe in the dawn. In the afternoon go down and stay at the closest nomad family. (150 km)

Drive to Khongor sand dune passing by Khavtsgait. Small birds come to Khavtsgait for drinking water. Desert steppe small birds are very common in the bush lands along the small river on the edge of sand dune. Stay at tourist camp to have dinner and overnight. (200 km)

On the way back to the center of province we will watch birds at sites with unique formations like Gegeentiin khundii, Shavartain khuudas and Baruun Bilgekh. After having lunch at the tourist camp, we will go to Bazariin gol, Nutsgen bulag and Baga bulag near tourist camp for spotting birds. (200 km)

In the morning we will drive to local airport and depart Ulaanbaatar. Check into hotel. After lunch we will do observation along Songinii am and Tuul river grove. (90 км)

Early in the morning we will drive to Gun galuutai, situated 130km east of Ulaanbaatar. This site with beautiful landscape compromises small lakes, Kherlen river and steppe is the heaven to birds where we can see wetland birds. After having lunch in Gun Galuutai tourist camp we will head to Terelj National Park. On the way to national park we will stop over 40m high Chinngis Khaan Statue Complex. We will spend the rest of the day watching birds along Terelj river and its grove and overnight at near tourist camp. (250 км)

Early in the morning we will drive to forest zone of Kentii mountain range for spotting Black-billed Capercaillie and Black Grouse. In the afternoon we will do observation in Gachuurtiin am and stay the night at near tourist camp. (120 км)

Day tour in Ulaanbaatar city – Gandan monastery, Dinasour museum, National museum of Mongolia, Mongolian traditional performance, Gobi cashmere factory and its factory store, Souvenir shop at the State Department Store. (40 км)

We will spend this day watching birds along lake shore. Uvs lake, elevated on 759m above sea level, covers 3350km², is 84km long, 79km wide and 10-20 deep. The lake is the highly saline lake which is 5 times saline than ocean, fed by 38 rivers has no outlet and rich in fishes. Dense reeds, bushes and willow trees grow along the lake. There were recorded 200 bird species, especially endangered wetland bird. (100 km)

This day we will spend around Uureg and Achit lake, watching birds. These beautiful lakes, located in the foothills of high-snow capped mountains are home of many water birds. The lake shores are entirely downward without any bays and islands. Overnight stay in tent.  (200 km)

Drive to Shaazgai lake for bird watching and reach to Tsambagarav mountain. After having open-air lunch we spend whole day watching birds and drive to Khovd city to stay night at hotel. (200 km)

Early in the morning we will drive to Khar Us lake. The 4.5m tectonic lake, covering 1852km² has about small and big 10 islands with dense reeds. Wild boars live in dense reeds. Khar Us lake is beautiful lake where lotuses bloom. Back to hotel in Khovd city. (80 km)

Early in morning we will drive to local airport and depart Ulaanbaatar. Drive to Gorkhi-Terelj national park. Bird watching around Tuul and Terelj rivers and Khuukhen mountain. Overnight stay in tourist camp. (100 km)

Early morning bird watching, climbing to rocky mountains and along Terelj river grove. Bird watching in some places with parks, around Marshall bridge and along Tuul  river side. Overnight stay at hotel. (100 km)

Drive to Khurkh river valley, located on the boundaries of Batshireet, Binder, Umnudelger and Bayan-Adraga soums of Khentii province, the eastern part of Mongolia. Khurkh river valley is the valley along Zuunbayan river stretches 13km. There is 3-4km long bushy grove which provides good stopover for small birds during spring and autumn. (370 km)

Today we will do observation around the beautiful places like Gurvan nuur lake and Onon balj in Dadal soum, which is famous for birthplace of Chinggis khaan. This site is rich in different types of trees, bushes and shrubs, cliffs, small and mid-sized rivers, lakes, valleys and hills which comprise grassland and steppe where different types of birds occur in high numbers during migration. Overnight stay in tourist camp. (100 km)

Bird watching in Bayan-Uul soum, Ugtam mountain and Chukh lake of Dornod province. Ulz river basin comprises small lakes, broadleaf forest and mountain steppe. There were recorded 250 species of birds at this site. In the evening we will stay at Chukh resort, established during Socialism. (180 km)

On the way back to Chinggis city, the center of the Khentii province, we will stop in Choibalsan city, the biggest city of the eastern region to have lunch. Overnight stay in tourist camp. (450 km)

Back to Ulaanbaatar city and do shopping in Gobi cashmere store and souvenir shop at State Department Store. (320 km)

Depart Mongolia.

In the morning we will do observation in forest zone of Khustai national park and drive back to Ulaanbaatar to reach Zaisangiin am, after lunch. Overnight stay at hotel. (120км)

Early in morning we will drive to Baga Bayan and Sanzai, located in the north of Ulaanbaatar for birding. From there we will drive to Gachuurt town to continue birding and stay at tourist camp.
